The Art of the Launch is a marketing hackathon that brings together product owners, design creatives and marketing talent across the full spectrum of marketing sub-disciplines for a day of learning and doing. Since hoping for coverage in TechCrunch cannot be the only tactic to pursue in any product launch effort, this event concept connects product owners and creative professionals so that each can leverage the strengths of the other to design effective launches.
Inspired by the frenetic genius that often emerges from tech hackathons, The Art of the Launch seeks to:
- Connect the latest tech products with marketing talent that can raise awareness for them
- Educate entrepreneurs about the marketing planning process by immersing them in the process
How it Works
Pre-Conference
- Entrepreneurs submit products for consideration
- Entrepreneurs invite friends and supporters to vote for their product
- Owners of the shortlisted products are invited to pitch at the conference (owners attend for free)
- Marketers and design creatives purchase tickets to the conference; vote for their favorite products
At the Conference
- Shortlisted product owners give
3-5-minute product pitches - Attendees vote on their favorites
- Teams form around the top products
- Teams hack respective product launch plans
- Teams give 5-minute presentations to the panel of judges
- Winners are selected and awarded prizes
